In pictures: Three installs wi-fi furry friend on South Bank

Three has installed a wi-fi-powered version of its 'Jackson the puppet' character on London's South Bank.

The three metre-tall creature will beam wi-fi to passers-by for free. The installation aims to aid the network’s mission to provide a seamless mobile experience for everyone.

The new mascot, who follows in the footsteps of Three’s Dancing Pony and Sing it Kitty, is the work of Muppets creator Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.

Jackson will be in place from today (12 June) until Sunday (14 June). He will then embark on a mini-tour of the UK, visiting Birmingham on 19 June and Manchester on 26 June.

As part of the activation, agency Sauce Connections will be providing 2,500 bottles of water each day, which will be distributed to passers-by to communicate the campaign's key messages. 

The stunt forms part of Three’s #MakeItRight campaign, which features Jackson in a TV ad that aired last Friday (5 June). 

Agency Brand & Deliver introduced the purple character to internal staff this week with a day of .
