No tickets are currently on sale. Locog told Event that there was no estimate on when the site would reopen but that Ticketmaster was working on resolving the issues.

It tweeted on Friday that there was "huge demand" for tickets that exceeded supply, and users reported clicking on ticket options only to find they were no longer available to purchase.

Locog stated: "We have told Ticketmaster to suspend the resale system whilst they investigate some issues customers have been experiencing. We want buying and selling Olympic and Paralympic tickets through Ticketmaster to be a good customer experience, and so we will re-open the site once Ticketmaster have resolved these issues."

The ticket exchange, , was launched at 9am last Friday.

At 2.12pm on Friday, Locog stated on Twitter that it was receiving feedback of issues with tickets. At 5.41pm it tweeted that the ticket system had been suspended.
