brings together details on Locog initiatives including the London 2012 Local Leaders programme, Inspire celebrations and Torch Relays, as well as events staged as part of Mayor of London Presents and sponsor activity.

It is hoped it will provide a portal for members of the public to search and find out what is going on in their communities and get involved in the celebrations.

The guide was officially unveiled at a cabinet meeting at the Aquatics Centre yesterday (9 January) marking 200 days to go to the Games.

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has now officially handed the Olympic Park over to Locog, who has the huge challenge of transforming it into a fully-operational Olympic and Paralympic Park over the coming months.

Still on the to do list are jobs including sourcing a million pieces of sport equipment, installing more than 362 toilet blocks, and building 11 sponsor showcase areas which will house "unique spectator experiences".
