The one-day event, organised by Rockingmann Festivals, has chosen the Knutsford-based ticketing company to handle online ticketing for the live music festival, which takes place on 6 July at the TT Grandstand, Nobles Park, in Douglas.
Tickets will go on sale using the firm’s web-based ticketing platform, Iris Web. Rockingmann Festivals will be offering a range of ticketng packages for the new 2013 festival, including travel to the island, and early-bird upgrade offers for tickets, camping and transport.
MTV, The Isle of Man Festival’s media partner and sponsor, will also be promoting the event on its music TV channels, as well as selling tickets for the event using the Iris Web platform.
Mark Dewell, managing director at Iris Ticketing, said: "The Isle of Man Festival is a really exciting opportunity for us. Our ticketing model is very much to empower the event organisers and we’re getting a lot of positive feedback about the benefits of this.
"In addition, this festival is demonstating how scalable it is. Not only will tickets for the event be sold directly through the festival website, they will also be sold through MTV. For the festival goers, it will be a seamless online experience wherever they decide to purchase the tickets."
The line-up for The Isle of Man Festival includes Primal Scream and Paloma Faith, and is hoping to attract up to 15,000 visitors.
Chris Lyons, director of Rockingmann Festivals, said: "We know what it takes to put on great live events and this ticketing solution demonstrates a keen understanding of what is required for successful event management. We have 15 years experience in the festivals market and we launched Rockingmann Festivals specifically to handle The Isle of Man Festival.
"As a new company launching a new festival, we have all the challenges of a new business including managing cash flow, and the Iris Web solution offers exactly what we need, especially as we receive the revenue as soon as tickets sell."
