NUS integrates loyalty card into revamped website

LONDON - The National Union of Students has unveiled its revamped website, which integrates its loyalty card, NUS Extra card, into the main site.

Created by digital communications agency Code Computerlove the new site -- -- brings together the NUS and the NUS Services in one site for the first time. It aims to be the single online voice of the NUS with an emphasis on student participation and user interaction.

The site has been developed to be a single destination where students can learn everything they need to know about being a student -- from how to find a place to live to getting more involved in campaigning or saving money with the NUS Extra card.

The campaigning section of the site provides details of all active campaigns and users can share details of campaigns with social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace. Individual's can also comment and upload any of their own content, like videos and images, which have been created to support specific campaigns.

The NUS Extra card which was previously housed as a separate site has been incorporated into nus.org.uk.

The card, which was launched two years ago, can be bought online via the site for £10 and provides students with discounts and other offers.

Other key sections of the new site include the Student Life section, which provides advice and a comprehensive guide to student life, and Students' Unions, which explains how to set up a students' union and gives full details of every current union in the country.
