Nielsen Mobile expands European operations

LONDON - The Nielsen Company has expanded its mobile market research business Nielsen Mobile in Europe, with the establishment of operations in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Sweden.

The expansion, which also includes a new operation in Russia, will enable European mobile operators to track competitors market share, subscriber counts, gross adds and churn data.

Nielsen Mobile, formerly Telephia, provides extensive research and insights for network operators, device manufacturers and content providers on purchasing and usage behaviour.

It also provides the mobile media industry with up-to-date trends and behaviour of mobile content audiences and their consumption of mobile content, including internet, video, games, ringtones and music.

Jean Littolff, European director at Nielsen Mobile, said: "Nielsen Mobile now delivers a 360-degree view of the highly competitive mobile landscape in Europe."

Nielsen Mobile is the world's largest provider of syndicated consumer research to the telecom and mobile media markets.
