Samuel, who was event manager for UBM's International Confex and Live Expereinces shows, will now expand his portfolio to include Leisure Industry Week.
It has been a meteoric rise for Samuel, who only joined the company from Reed Exhibitions last December.
He initially came to launch International Outdoor Expo (IOEX), but swiftly added Confex to his remit. Earlier this year he was responsible for rebanding IOEX to the Live Experience show, which will launch next year alongside Confex at Excel London.
