Metro launches electronic version e-Metro

LONDON - Associated Newspapers has launched an electronic version of the Metro, its free national newspaper.

, which is available in addition to the paper's , gives readers a chance to view a copy of the Metro online.

Subscribers to e-Metro will be sent an email each morning inviting them to view the day's edition of the paper.

Users can then view the Metro online in newspaper format, instantly print, zoom and search for text, bookmark relevant pages and save a digital version of the newspaper to their computer for offline reading.

Stuart Wood, operations director of Metro, said: "e-Metro combines the strengths of digital publishing, the familiarity of our newspaper format and a simple delivery method to provide readers with a convenient new way of enjoying our quality content."

E-Metro runs on a publishing system provided by Yudu Media.
