This year’s Manchester event takes place at Manchester Central on 20 July and celebrates elements of popular culture including video games, movies and comics.
The first two-day MCM Manchester Comic Con will return to the same venue on 26-27 July 2014.
Bryan Cooney, MCM Expo joint managing director, said: "Consumers and exhibitors are backing MCM and we needed to respond. By making Manchester Comic Con a weekend event we are increasing the opportunities for everyone."
The announcement follows news of a new show - the MCM Scotland Comic Con - which will be hosted at Glasgow’s SECC on 7 September.
MCM Expo has also revealed that floor space at its flagship event in London will expand by 36% to 34,000 metres squared when it returns in October.
Paula Lorimer, sales director at Manchester Central, added: "We are delighted that MCM Expo is returning to Manchester Central in 2014. We are thrilled that the event is growing in size and success, adding another day to their tenancy next year, following huge demand from visitors."
The MCM Manchester Comic Con made its debut in 2011 and attracted more than 11,300 visitors at last year’s show.
