Karen McPhee founded Cava in 2004 and has said she was keen to find ways of growing the business with her clients. She felt Mash’s ethos and business model provided her with the best opportunity to do this.
Mash said the merger will provide the opportunity for the company to spread its presence in the north of England and Scotland, particularly for clients wishing to activate campaigns during the Commonwealth Games.
McPhee, who will assume the role of client service director at Mash Scotland, said: "I am delighted with the opportunity to join such an ambitious business. When it comes to client service and being leaders in their field, Mash offers everything I believe to be pivotal to a successful staffing agency."
Mash Scotland will operate out of a Glasgow office and continue to work with existing Cava clients. The London office will provide sales, marketing and operational support to help grow the Scottish business in promotional staffing, as well as into new markets across corporate events and in-store sales staff.
Chris Wareham, managing director of Mash Staffing UK, said: "We are immensely excited by the opportunity the merger brings to Mash UK. We have many clients who have expressed an interest in our focus in Scotland and the north of England, and in Cava we can live up to our mission to be staffing specialists within all of our chosen sectors."
