Wareham joins the event staffing agency with more than 14 years of experience in the industry. He previously worked as director of Initials Experience, which he founded in 2010.

His appointment follows a restructure in Mash's senior management team as a result of the business’ continued growth in the UK and overseas, including Australia which Mash expanded into three years ago.

Former managing director Emma Maisey will be assuming the role of group operations director, and Mash's co-founder Phil Edelston will become group business development director.

Edelston said: "We are delighted that someone as experienced in our specialist field as Chris Wareham is joining us.

"We are confident that he will contribute significantly to our core competence, the provision of promotional staff, as well as maintaining good working relationships with our most important clients, who of course include Initials."

The move follows the launch of Mash’s latest division – Mash Event Staffing – earlier this year, which has been set up as a premium offering for the conference and event sectors.

Wareham said: "I have enjoyed every minute of my three and a half years at Initials which is an outstanding marketing communications agency. However, heading up the growth of one of the UK's top specialist staffing agencies was a challenge I couldn't refuse."
