Mark Craze departs Aegis Media Group after 15 years

LONDON - Mark Craze is leaving his job as CEO of Aegis Media UK & Ireland after 15 years with the company, saying that he plans to pursue other career interests.

It is the latest senior departure at the media group in the past six months. In November last year, Aegis Media EMEA joint chief executives Bruno Kemoun and Eryck Rebbouh unexpectedly quit the company, reportedly after clashing with Aegis's chief executive Doug Flynn over the future of the company. They were replaced by Jerry Buhlmann.

Craze said: "I have had a great time with Aegis but after 15 years I felt the time was right to move on to other career challenges."

Aegis said that Craze's departure is by mutual consent and that he was leaving to pursue other career interests. He was managing director and then CEO of Carat Group, before being promoted to the CEO role at Aegis Media UK & Ireland, where he oversaw the Carat and Vizeum media networks.

Buhlmann said: "Mark has contributed a great deal to the success and development of Aegis in the UK. During his successful career, spanning more than 15 years with the group, he has continued to grow and expand our UK and Ireland operations and has always been a true professional. We wish him well in the future."

The company said Craze's successor would be named shortly.
