Levi's launches review of creative account in Americas

SAN FRANCISCO - Clothing manufacturer Levi Strauss has announced a review of the creative account for its Levi's business in the Americas, according to US reports.

Incumbent agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty in New York, which has held the account since 2001, has reportedly been invited to defend it.

A small number of undisclosed US agencies have also been asked to pitch, with a decision expected by the middle of December.

BBH is also the lead agency for Levi's in Europe and the Asia-Pacific. The creative accounts in these regions will not be affected by the review.

The creative review comes after Levi Strauss launched a separate media review in August -- a decision on that account is expected by November.

Currently Interpublic Group's Initiative handles the media buying, while IPG's DraftFCB handles the planning for the Dockers brand and BBH handles planning for the Levi's brand.
