Law and Order ties with Hustle on 5.1 million viewers

LONDON - ITV1 and BBC One were neck and neck in peaktime last night, both attracting 5.1 million viewers, according to unofficial overnight figures.

ITV1's 'Law and Order: UK' actually had the edge by 34,000 viewers, giving it a share of 19.7% to BBC One's 19.5%.

A 9pm-10pm outing for 'Celebrity Big Brother' garnered an audience of 3.1 million and a 14% share for Channel 4, including ratings for C4+1.

BBC Two picked up 1.8 million viewers with 'The British Family: Our History'. The third of four in the series was watched by 7% of the audience.

Five's 'Paul Merton in Europe' managed 1.4 million viewers and a 5.3% share.
