Kudos wins £3m event contract with Hackney Empire

Caterer Kudos has won a five year contract worth £3m to provide its event services to Hackney Empire.

The company, which is part of the Crown Group, will cater for the events at the 1,300 capacity space, while sister firm Venue Reservations will be helping to sell the venue to brands and corproates.

Kudos will also be managing what was formerly known as the Empire Cafe and rebranding it Feed at the Empire Cafe, which will make it the first high street retail brand managed by the Crown Croup.

Jon Pryce, managing director of Kudos, said: "We are delighted to win this contract at one of the most popular and prestigious entertainment venues around."

Clarie Middleton, chief executive at Hackney Empire, added: "This partnership with Kudos offers excellent opportunities to develop the range and quality of customer services at the Empire."

The events menus will be developed by Frank Bordoni who is food director at Kudo and a former TV chef.
