The event took place over the River Thames and the London Eye and for the first time, the display was accompanied by music.
An exclusive soundtrack was created for the event by Radio 1's award-winning DJ, Nihal, who also mixed music live on the river in the build up to midnight.
"The New Year’s Eve Celebrations this year were a huge success," said Deputy Mayor of London Richard Barnes.
Jack Morton worked in conjunction with multiple agencies across the capital to ensure the event was planned and delivered safely. These included: Greater London Authority; Metropolitan Police; Westminster City and Lambeth Borough Councils, Transport for London, The Port of London Authority, London Ambulance Service, St John’s Ambulance and the London Fire Brigade.
This is the seventh consecutive New Year’s celebration that Jack Morton has created for the Mayor of London.
