IPC poaches Bowman for TV & Satellite Week

LONDON - IPC has named Jonathan Bowman from H Bauer's TV Choice as the new editor of its TV & Satellite Week.

IPC poaches Bowman for TV & Satellite Week

Bowman, who was deputy editor of TV Choice and TV Quick, will take up the position at the end of September, replacing current editor Sue Rylance.

The move is a return to IPC for Bowman, who has enjoyed spells as commissioning editor for market leader What's on TV, and also worked as special projects editor for IPC.

Last week's ABC figures saw TV & Satellite Week record a 2.8% period on period rise, a 0.7 % increase year on year, with a circulation of 252,082 for Jan-Jun 2002.

Caroline Ward, managing director of IPC tx, said: "It's fantastic news for tx that we have been able to lure Jonathan back. TV & Satellite Week is a real rising star in our portfolio, having grown its sales by some 40 per cent in the last three years."

Bowman added: "The magazine has a great team and I am looking forward to joining them and working again with old colleagues."
