IPC Media appoints marketing director for TV listings division

LONDON - IPC Media has promoted Jemima Ransome, head of marketing for its TV listings division IPC TX, to the position of marketing director for the division.

Ransome takes up her new role with immediate effect. She will be responsible for all the marketing activity supporting the company's four TV titles, What's on TV, TV & Satellite Week, TV Times and Soaplife.

She will report to Philippa Brown, group marketing director of IPC Media.

Brown said: "I am extremely pleased to be able to make this appointment from within our own ranks and it is a testament to the skill and expertise that IPC now has within its marketing teams."

Ransome joined IPC in 1998 as senior marketing manager. In her most recent role as head of marketing, she appointed Walsh Trott Chick Smith to IPC TX's advertising work.

She also appointed Lida Media to handle the division's below-the-line work in the summer of last year.

Before joining IPC in 1998, Ransome worked in the marketing departments of music and gaming company Pinnacle Entertainment and VNU Publications.
