The site will include similar content to the magazine and as well as exclusive content from US magazine People, owned by IPC's parent company Time Inc.
Additional features will include stars' style secrets and celebrity recipes, and the opportunity for users to email questions direct to celebs.
Now website editor Beverley Watts said: "It's been an incredibly exciting time developing and launching the Now website. I'm sure Now readers will be thrilled by all the extra celebrity gossip and showbiz style secrets we're able to give them."
IPC said it believes there is space in the market for another dedicated gossip site, stating that of the 8.4m women in Now's BC1/C2 demographic, 64% (5.4m) have access to the internet and are likely to read about celebrity gossip in newspapers and magazines.
Now publishing director Andrew Sumner said: "Now is famed for its finger-on-the-pulse, cutting-edge celebrity news and we know that our readers are ready and waiting to get their regular fix of Now online."
The move follows last week's launch of 'Reality TV Now' - Now's first special issue devoted to reality TV, featuring highlights from this summer's reality programming. Other titles in the Now Specials Series include Teen Now, Diet Now and Style Now.
