IPC unveils reality TV show title under Now brand

LONDON - IPC Connect is looking to cash in on the continuing success of reality TV shows such as 'Big Brother' and 'X-Factor', with a spin-off of its celebrity magazine Now called Reality TV Now.

The new 100-page weekly title will begin a six-week run from August 7 and is edited by Now deputy editor Jeremy Mark.

The first issue features an interview with 'Celebrity Love Island' contestant Calum Best, a profile of 'Big Brother' contestant Pete, a run-down of the richest reality TV stars and a fashion shoot with Lady Isabella Hervey, who features on this year's 'Love Island'.

Mark said: "Reality TV Now is a totally original idea, it's the UK's first ever magazine devoted entirely to celebrating reality TV and its stars."

Andrew Sumner, Now publishing director, said: "Reality TV Now is an inspired brand extension that launches at the perfect moment. Our readers are crying out for a whole magazine devoted to their favourite summer shows."

This is the latest brand extension for Now, with others including Style Now, Diet Now and Teen Now.
