Hutchings joined IPC ignite!, the division that publishes the company's music and men's titles, in 2002 as a marketing executive on Uncut and NME. She has since worked as the assistant publisher of Uncut and Loaded, before becoming the associate publisher of the two magazines. In this most recent role, she was involved in the development of digital, mobile and online activity across both titles, as well as the relaunch of Uncut.
