I'm a Celebrity... goes live on mobile and internet

LONDON - ITV is to provide live 3G mobile and internet coverage of reality show 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' for the first time.

The jungle-based popularity contest returns for a fifth series at 9pm on Sunday, with ITV hoping viewers' addiction to the series will spill over into watching it live via its new mobile portal and at .

TV presenters David Dickinson and Magenta de Vine, US basketball star Dennis Rodman and 'EastEnders' actress Elaine Lordon, who played Lynne Slater, are among the celebs ITV's TV guide claims are "rumoured" to appear.

A dedicated 3G service will offer streamed live action from the jungle and edited highlights. Mobile-owning fans will also be able to film themselves giving their views about the show and send in their video to ITV.

The online live stream will run from 8am to 8pm, after which ITV1 and ITV2 will take up the running.

Jane Marshall, commercial development director at ITV Consumer, said: "ITV has driven the take-up of interactive TV through mass voting and now we can offer viewers even better services and content through our mobile portal -- plus live 3G mobile and online streaming available for the first time on this show."

The broadcaster has also signed former contestants Jordan and Peter Andre, who developed a relationship during the third series, to present daily updates on 'This Morning'.
