I'm a Celeb gets launch date as Frost and Owen set to take part

LONDON - ITV's 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' returns on November 20 with a line-up reportedly including former Atomic Kitten singer Jennie Frost and former 'EastEnders' star Sid Owen.

The jungle reality series will return with Geordie presenters Ant and Dec on ITV1 from Sunday November 20, the broadcaster confirmed.

As well as Owen, who played Ricky Butcher in the BBC soap and was reported to have turned down an appearance on the show earlier this year, and Frost, who is following in the footsteps of former Atomic Kitten and 'I'm a Celeb' winner Kerry Katona, ITV weather girl Becky Mantin and perma-tanned 'Bargain Hunter' presenter David Dickinson have confirmed they will be appearing on the show.

Other potential contestants include 70s comedic duo Cannon and Ball, 'A-Team' hardman Mr T, Margaret Thatcher's daughter Carol, former 'EastEnders'' star Elaine Lordan, Jude Law's former nannie and lover Daisy Wright, and 'Coronation Street' on- and off-screen lovers Nikki Sanderson and Danny Young.

The news comes as presenter Mark Durden-Smith has been replaced by Matt Brown for the ITV2 spin-off 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Now!', while series one runner-up Tara Palmer-Tomkinson will continue to co-present.

In addition this year, a new-look fanzine show 'Jungle Drums' has been commissioned to air weeknights on ITV2 at 6pm.

Now in its fifth season, 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' has been a ratings success for the network, securing an average of 8m viewers an episode and more than 14m for the series finale, when one of the 12 contestants is crowned king or queen of the jungle.

Comedian Joe Pasquale won the last series, while former England cricket player Phil Tufnell and DJ Tony Blackburn have been winners of previous outings.

The series can also claim uniting celebrity magazine favourites Jordan and Peter Andre who met while starring in the 2004 series.
