Lordan admitted to drinking vodka in her Elstree dressing room and was pictured falling out of nightclubs in the early hours of the morning towards the end of her two-year stint on 'EastEnders'. She was also convicted of drink driving, resulting in a year-long ban.
She was eventually sacked from the soap amid rumours of a rift with her on-screen sister Kat, played by Jessie Wallace, who was seen as the rising star on the show.
Lordan has also suffered turmoil in her private life after her mother threw herself under a train in March and her son James was born five weeks early with a hernia in December. She has not worked since leaving in 'EastEnders' last summer.
Reports also suggest ITV is touting Jude Law's former nannie and lover Daisy Wright and 'Coronation Street' on- and off-screen lovers Nikki Sanderson and Danny Young for the show.
Now in its fifth season, 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' has been a ratings success for the network, securing an average of 8m viewers an episode and more than 14m for the series finale, when one of the 12 contestants is crowned king or queen of the jungle.
Comedian Joe Pasquale won the 2004 series, while ex-Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona, former England cricket player Phil Tuffnell and DJ Tony Blackburn have been winners of previous outings.
The new series is due to air in ITV in November, with Ant and Dec set to host again.
