High-street stores join up for new ethical rewards programme

LONDON - Blue Storm Media has launched ValueBond, the UK's first ethical rewards programme and shopping channel, designed to raise awareness and funds for charitable causes and reward consumers when they shop.

Each time a consumer shops on the site, a percentage of the consumer cash-back award, normally around 30%, goes to charity and the rest is paid back to the consumer through PayPal.

has deals with more than 250 high street and online names including Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Lloyds TSB, eBay and Boots.

Consumers can get cash back on products and donate to charities at the same time without it costing them any more.

Gareth Llewelyn, CEO of Blue Storm Media, said: "ValueBond is a revolutionary ethical method of using the advertisers' margin or bounty to reward consumers and people in need simultaneously. It creates and sustains charitable awareness every time the consumer shops."

Charities that ValueBond supports include the RSPCA, Great Ormond Street Hospital's Children's Charity and the Tsunami relief appeal.
