The idea is that it will let magazines sell space they need to fill in a hurry -- possibly at below market rates.
The service is the idea of two Sussex-based entrepreneurs, Nick York and Ian Highland, and is backed by Sussex publisher the Friday-Ad group.
According to York: "Blankspace offers 24/7 access to all customers, offering bargains for buyers and the option to try out new publications at affordable prices.
"Because Blankspace handles the entire transaction in a secure online environment, publishers benefit from reduced administration costs and no bad debtors."
