Google's UK revenues slide to 13% of total sales

LONDON - Google UK contributed less to the search giant's overall income for the three months to end September than in the same period of 2008.

Google's UK revenues slide to 13% of total sales

Revenues from the UK business were $765m, representing 13% of total revenues in the third quarter of 2009, compared to $776m or 14% in the third quarter of 2008.

Overall reported revenues of $5.94bn for the quarter, an increase of 7% compared to the third quarter of 2008.

Average cost-per-click, which includes clicks related to ads served on Google sites and the sites of AdSense partners, decreased approximately 6% over the third quarter of 2008 and increased approximately 5% over the second quarter of 2009.

Google-owned sites generated revenues of $3.96 bn, or 67% of total revenues, up 8%.

Google's partner sites generated revenues of $1.80b, or 30% of total revenues, a 7% increase compared to last year.

Revenues from outside of the United States totaled $3.14bn, representing 53% of total revenues in the third quarter of 2009.
