AdSense is the Google platform that automatically places contextually and geographically relevant advertising on publishers' websites, with the revenue generated shared by the two parties.
For the first time in the UK, Google is working with a domain registration and hosting company, 123-reg, which is offering free automated tools to customers using its InstantSite and e-commerce packages.
The technology enabling simpkle insertion of AdSense has been built by Clickstream and is aimed at customers with no technical know-how. It works by automatically creating space for ads on 123-reg hosted sites and automatically inserts tags to match ads to content, without the need for manual coding.
Brewster Barclay, managing director of business development at Clickstream, said: "123-reg is one of the leading shared hosting providers in the UK with thousands of clients who have created websites, either for a small business or leisure purposes.
"Now they will now have a simple way to make regular income from their websites without having to understand technology or implement any coding."
The deal is not exclusive and Google is looking to tie up with other companies that can give it access to multiple potential users as it looks to boost take-up of its AdSense platform.
