Digital agency Ralph, which created the Nip/Tuck: The Golden Ratio Facebook Application, claims that the app uses a scientifically proven method of calculating facial beauty.
Users can compare their beauty stats with friends' and upload their results to an online 'Beauty Parade' to find out who has the best face on Facebook.
Ralph will promote the application extensively amongst Nip/Tuck fan groups on and FX UK will also promote the app on its own .
Cecilia Parker, communications director at FX UK, said: "This is a really fun application which will strike a chord with Facebook users, Nip/Tuck fans and anyone interested in physical appearances.
"This is another digital first for FX UK and we are confident it will help to build awareness of the new series."
The Facebook is part of a larger multimillion-pound ad campaign by FX to promote the US TV import. The network launched the campaign last month across TV, cinema, outdoor and online.
