Football League launches search for CRM suppliers

LONDON - The Football League is looking to appoint a number of approved suppliers of CRM and ticketing services, operating in the sports industry, in order to assist its member clubs.

The project launched last season and resulted in the appointment of three approved CRM suppliers: Cyber, Green 4 and Iris. The League is now extending the invitation for other relevant suppliers to register their interest.

Once approved, the status will be reviewed on an annual basis. The Football League said that there will be no costs associated with the approval process, and it will not involve companies having to go through an extensive tendering process.

Successful suppliers will be able to use the Football League 'Approved Supplier' endorsement, and also the League's communication routes to clubs.

The Football League has appointed sports sales and marketing company Goodform to assist with the project.

David Malkinson, Football League marketing manager, said: "The Football League approved supplier programme intends to assist our member clubs with the task of choosing CRM and ticketing suppliers.

"Both clubs and approved suppliers benefited from last season's assessment and we wish to invite more organisations to tender an application."

The Football League provides a national membership organisation for 72 clubs and also manages three main competitions -- the Coca-Cola Football League, the Carling Cup and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
