Football League seeks extra brands

LONDON - The Football League hopes to attract two additional 'platinum sponsors' ahead of the 2009/10 football season.

Football League seeks extra brands

The brand search is being led by commercial director Stewart Thomson. The three-year contracts will give the brands access to all 72 league clubs across three divisions.

The Football League currently has two platinum sponsors, E.ON and Texaco, and three title sponsors - Coca-Cola, Carling and Johnstone's Paint - for league and cup competitions.

Live league matches return to terrestrial TV next year for the first time in more than 20 years following a £264m broadcast deal with BBC Sport and Sky Sports.
