FHM.com launches PSP channel with free content promotion

LONDON – FHM.com has launched a new channel dedicated to Sony PlayStation's new PSP, and is offering users 10 free content packs to download featuring exclusive images and clips to promote it.

The promotion has been developed to support the launch of the channel on November 28, which will offer users images, video clips and viral teasers of content from some of FHM.com's most popular offerings including its Championship of Women.

The free content will also include behind the scenes footage of some of FHM's cover girls and High Street Honeys, interviews with the girls and FHM images.

The FHM PSP channel will be used to promote as a whole, as well as the mobile content that is already offered on the site and through mobile operator portals.

FHM.com will use its own site, its database of 400,000 online users, plus cross-promotion activity across other Emap publications to drive awareness of the PSP channel and coincide with the run-up to Christmas.

FHM.com also plans to make use of PSP's wireless browsing capabilities to create a browser-able version of the site in the near future.

James Mannion, editorial director at FHM.com, said: "At FHM.com we see consoles like the PSP as key to extending the reach and scope of FHM.com beyond a desktop PC.

"With 1m PSP consoles in the market at Christmas, FHM.com wants to capitalise on the demand for PSP content. Our user base is a perfect fit with PSP users and we are confident our content will provide interesting and exclusive content, relevant to them."
