FA film pits Michael Owen against Dave Bloke

Dare has created an online video campaign to encourage thousands of football fans to take part in the FA's Umbro Fives tournament.

The FA Umbro Fives is the only five-a-side football competition where the final takes place at Wembley.

The film stars former England hero and striker Michael Owen, who is eclipsed by a fictional character called Dave Bloke. Bloke steals Owen's limelight by becoming a Wembley Legend after scoring a hat-trick in the FA Umbro Fives final.

The film uses the strapline 'Become a Wembley Legend' and asks people to sign up to the FA Umbro Fives microsite.

Players can register their team and are then encouraged to take part in a banter competition on Facebook during the tournament.

FA marketing manager Charlie Boss said: "This is a wonderful tongue-in-cheek way to get amateur footballers to enter The FA Umbro Fives Tournament. Anyone can now become a Wembley Legend."
