The F1 Rocks music shows at Kuala Lumpur’s Twin Towers were scheduled for 23 and 24 March as part of the Formula 1 race this weekend.
A statement from Malaysian Grand Prix sponsor Petronas said: "Following a recent announcement on the F1 Rocks in Malaysia that was scheduled to take place on the weekend of the 2012 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix; Petronas as the associate sponsor of the event, received a notification that the event has been cancelled."
Reports on Twitter and music and motoring websites refer to a possible contractual dispute between Minogue and London-based organisers Enterprise Entertainment.
Enterprise Entertainment declined Event’s request to comment this morning.
A statement on Kylie Minogue’s Facebook page said: "F1 Rocks and the promoters have just announced that the Kylie show advertised for Friday 23 March at Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will not proceed as planned.
"It goes without saying that Kylie and her team are beyond disappointed with the news and she wants to let all her fans know how much she was looking forward to her Malaysian debut."
The concerts will be replaced by free music event Twin Towers @Live which returns to Kuala Lumpur for a second year with the same venue and dates at F1 Rocks.
The artist lineup announced yesterday includes singer Nicole Scherzinger and Australian guitarist Orianthi.
Enterprise Entertainment was brought in to run the F1 Rocks sport and music events in 2010 by rights holder Bernie Ecclestone.
