The company will continue to operate its in-house sales operation in Nottingham and two call centres that handle remittances. "We are not planning to offshore these operations," a spokesman said.
The first 300 jobs will go in the Preston call centre by the end of July and the remaining jobs will end as existing third-party contracts come to an end.
The company says it would not make financial sense to invest in the technology needed to compete with offshore call centres employing low-paid workers.
