Through the acquisition, Experian clients will be able to send highly targeted and relevant emails to their permission鈥揵ased subscriber lists.
CheetahMail will operate from New York in the US and Weybridge in the UK as a standalone entity within Experian's marketing services divisions and will be called CheetahMail, an Experian company.
David Coupe, Experian's managing director of marketing services, said: "We are confident that CheetahMail's cutting-edge technology and expanded professional service offerings will ensure successful campaigns for our clients, who are increasingly turning to the internet as a key component of their marketing mix. CheetahMail strengthens our ability to deliver highly integrated, multichannel campaigns and will immediately contribute to Experian's earnings."
CheetahMail's client list includes Starbucks, The Discovery Channel, National Express, Asda, Teletext and Bloomingdales in the US.
