Content as part of the Eventsforce Certification Programme will be tailored to help students gain an understanding of how to best use the company's event management software suite and understand the benefits event technology can bring to both event professionals and event attendees.
Eventsforce will be involved in the development of the courses at a strategic level, aiming to create a qualification that has practical commercial benefits.
George Sirius, chief executive of Eventsforce, said: "It is so important to nurture new talent from an early stage as these students represent the future of the events industry.
"We want to begin to bridge the increasing gap between academia and industry by helping to develop a course built around key learning points that we believe are essential in the events industry. By doing so, we will be producing a course that is of benefit not only to the students, but also to the work environment that they will soon be entering."
Ian Webster, senior lecturer at Coventry University, added: "Gone are the days that a student at university can secure graduate employment on the back of a good degree qualification alone. A student needs to be industry ready when they graduate from university. By this I mean they should have a CV filled with relevant work and voluntary experience gained whilst studying their degree, and be able to be proficient in relevant skills dictated by industry itself.
"Our partnership with Eventsforce ticks all the relevant boxes. After completing the Eventsforce Certification Programme, as part of their curriculum, our students will be ahead of the game when it comes to graduate employment and placements."
