The facility, in the Priestman Building of the City Campus, is the university’s arts, design and media building. It offers 18 multi-purpose meeting rooms for between 20 and 120 delegates, a 97-capacity theatre, 200sqm of exhibition space and an art gallery exhibiting work from up and coming artists.
Sharon Olver, commercial services manager at UniSpace Sunderland, said: "We are very happy to be able to strengthen our city centre offering with the addition of the Priestman Building to our portfolio.
"The building has benefitted from a redevelopment, producing the new flexible spaces that feature all the state-of-the-art AV and IT equipment that our clients have come to expect from UniSpace."
The Priestman Building is the fifth self-contained venue space at City Campus and the fourteenth location in the UniSpace Sunderland offering.
