
The organisation – charged with the management of the Olympic Park after the Games – is looking to fill the Olympic Stadium with a "full array" of sporting, cultural and commercial events when it reopens in 2014.
As widely reported in the media, after it was faced with a series of legal challenges from rival bidder Tottenham Hotspur.
The stadium, which has already been chosen to host the World Athletics Championships in 2017, will now be retained by the OPLC as a public asset and will become the new national stadium for athletics.
OPLC Chief Executive Andrew Altman said: "Having already secured the 2017 World Athletics Championships, now is the time for bidders to come forward to further enhance the Stadium’s legacy."
Entries for expression of interest will close in March 2012, with the winning bidders expected to be announced in May 2012.
Interested parties in order to gain access to the stadium deal room, which will contain technical and legal documentation essential to any bid.
