The two acquisitions are the first for Eventbrite, and follow several senior leadership appointments, and an announcement earlier this year that the platform had processed over $1.5bn (£960m) in gross ticket sales.
Kevin Hartz, Eventbrite co-founder and chief executive, said: "For seven years, Eventbrite has focused on creating, scaling and promoting the best ticketing platform on the market. Now it’s time for us to open our pocketbooks a bit to accelerate our growth around the world.
"These two acquisitions perfectly align with the strategic focus for the company, while adding significant assets and technical power to our platform."
While Eventioz, set up in 2008, is based across Latin America with operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Mexico and Peru, Lanyrd is a social conference directory which launched in 2010 in London that allows users to add and discover events as well as track friends’ professional event activity.
Simon Willison, co-founder of Lanyrd, said: "Both companies believe in the power of shared experiences and we look forward to being part of an effort to use technology to improve how we discover and enjoy live events."
