EuroDirect launches online data cleansing programme

LONDON - EuroDirect has launched Cameo-online, a web-based data cleansing programme, which it said would offer marketers access to consumer profiles across 30 countries.

EuroDirect said the programme brings together two of its systems -- one catering for the domestic market and the other providing enhanced data cleansing technology across 30 developed countries, including France, Germany, Japan, the US and Australia.

According to its makers, Cameo-online will enable marketers to gain a deeper insight into socio-economic, credit risk, property prices and income level data on consumers.

Part of the technology also allows users to verify, cleanse and enhance name and address data, and confirm whether occupants have moved house.

John Dobson, managing director of EuroDirect, said: "We're the first to bring online profiling to market for such a wide range of countries and this is certainly an exciting move for EuroDirect.

"With so many marketers now using the global Cameo classifications to drive their cross-border strategy, this system now gives them the control and flexibility they need."
