Health Plus offers a wide-ranging mix of anti-ageing beauty and fashion, inspirational real-life stories and unique health information -- inspired by age-defying 40-plus celebrities like Kim Cattrall, Jerry Hall and Terri Hatcher.
The magazine will only use coverstars who are over 40 years old and, as such, wrinkles will be celebrated rather than airbrushed -- an attitude backed up by impressive sales history.
In the latest set of ABCs, Yours magazine was up 7.1% year-on-year to 413,855. It is Emap's biggest selling magazine for the over 60s female and spin-off Yours Special, which including Yours Health Plus, is sold as a standalone product for the same market.
The new-look glossy magazine hits the newsstands on April 6 with a cover price of £2.40, from £1.99.
Sam Fitz-Gibbon, publishing director of Emap Espirit's maturity portfolio, said: "Health Plus has had a great year, overachieving all commercial targets despite infrequent on sale dates -- and we know there's an even bigger opportunity for Health Plus with a monthly frequency.
"It's an exciting project, leading the market trend for addressing the 40+ audience in a real and engaging way."
Colette Harris, editor and publisher, said: "The 40+ market is a really exciting place to be, not only because there are 7m women in the marketplace, but because society at large, beauty, travel and health companies are finally starting to sit up and take notice of their needs and consumer power."
