The Daily Telegraph's garden launches in Second Life

LONDON - The Daily Telegraph's garden for the 2007 Chelsea Flower Show has been recreated in the virtual online world, Second Life.

The annual event has now closed to the public, but the silver-medal winning garden, designed by Isabelle Van Groeningen and Gabriella Paper from Land Art Ltd, can now be viewed online.

The initiative follows the Telegraph Media Group's recent launch of blogging site My Telegraph, part of a drive to increase its online offerings.

Marketing director Katie Vanneck said the company wanted to "take the Telegraph and our readers to new, interactive and ever expanding communities."
