Vanneck returns to Times Media

LONDON - Katie Vanneck has joined Times Media as sales and marketing director after two years as marketing director at The Daily Telegraph.

She will replace Simon Bell, who resigned last month after little more than a year in the job.
Vanneck returns to Times Media where she was head of promotions until January 2005. She joined Times Newspapers as a graduate trainee in 1996 and was appointed digital director in 2000 before being made promotions director in 2003.
Paul Hayes, managing director of Times Media, called Vanneck a "marketer with vision", saying she was the right person to take the company from being a newspaper business to a media business.
Vanneck said: "This is a great opportunity that comes at exactly the right time in my career. It gives me responsibility for all customer strategy and communication across the range of Times Media platforms."
