Cunard Line signs on Millennium to target gray market

LONDON - Cunard Line, the cruise line brand, has appointed marketing agency Millennium to handle a data profiling and customer analysis project as part of a campaign to target mature consumers.

Millennium, part of the Direct Marketing Group, offers a database of 17m older consumers which the travel brand is keen to access.

Carnival Group, which owns Cunard Line, P&O Cruises and Princess Cruises, recently awarded its £12m media planning and buying account to Vizeum, following a three-way pitch against Rocket and Mindshare.

The company announced in October that it will be winding down its UK cruise line brand Ocean Village by 2010.
