Ocean Village cruises ad targets fortysomething women

LONDON - Ocean Village's latest TV campaign is aimed at females around the age of 40 - a younger demographic than typical passengers on its cruises.

The 30-second animated ad, developed internally with production house Tigervision, will promote the brand's 2009/10 winter sun Caribbean programme and features a voiceover by actress Sarah Parish, the star of BBC One series Mistresses. The TV execution will be backed up by online and direct marketing activity.

Gill Haynes, Ocean Village's head of marketing communications, said the marketing aims to convey that the brand represents good value and that holidaymakers can get ‘more bang for [their] buck'.

The campaign breaks on 1 June and will run for an initial four-week burst.
