Paul Spinks, a director in the business is now managing director. Cook is to remain involved in the company as a shareholder .
"Steve’s departure was a strategic decision which took place under amicable circumstances," said Spinks.
Market Location was acquired by Wegener Group in 1999, and rebranded to its current name following a management buyout in October 2005, when both Cook and Spinks acquired shareholdings in the business.
In January last year, Patrick Bradshaw, formerly business development manager at Thomson Directories, joined Market Location taking a 30 per cent share, with Cook retaining 30 per cent, and Spinks a 40 per cent share.
