Charity event to be held inside Olympic Stadium

Members of the public will be given the chance to get inside the Olympic Stadium next month as part of Olympic-themed charity event The Gold Challenge.

On Sunday 1 April celebrities and athletes will gather at the stadium to compete in sports like the 100m sprints and the relay race to raise funds for charity. A Gold Challenge Olympic-themed parade and live music are also planned. 

Sports fans can either to watch from the stands or take part in some of the challenges themselves, with crowds of up to 20,000 expected to attend.  

The UK’s only Olympic and Paralympic based charity challenge, Gold Challenge has already signed up 75,000 people to take on an Olympic or Paralympic sport themed challenge to raise money for charity.
