Locog told Event it was looking into selling a ‘Park Pass’ on the door of the park, which would grant entry visitors without Olympic tickets. They could then watch the sporting action on big screens within the park.
A Locog spokesperson said: "People will be able to walk around the common domain, see the venues and watch the sport on the screens outside. It’s likely that we will charge people for coming into the park but we don’t know yet how much that price will be or how it’s going to look."
The park in east London is made up of 250 acres of parkland created from former industrial land. Visitors would be able to see the venues and art in it and explore the riverside garden stretching between the Aquatics Centre and Olympic Stadium.
