The Celebration of Cycling event on 5 July will take place in the venue’s Station Hall where guests will be treated to a three-course dinner, coffee and petit fours, served among the museum’s royal carriages.
A silent auction will be running throughout the evening, with all funds raised going towards Ataxia UK, a charity which helps individuals who have problems with movement, balance, and speech, as well as supporting their families.
Three-time Olympic medallist and double track world champion cyclist Rob Hayles will also be delivering a keynote speech on the night. Guests will be able to enjoy music from live band Hipshaker.
Alan Cass, sales manager at the National Railway Museum, said: "We are very excited about being part of one of the biggest sporting events of the year, with stage two of the Grand Départ starting here in York. The charity gala is a celebration of the sport, and we hope to raise lots of money for Ataxia UK on the night."
